This web site's purpose is to achieve a means of establishing the greatest music albums of all time by using legitimate critical sources and calculating a ranking based on the rank and number of times an album has appeared in a 'greatest album' chart and then ranking the albums according to their aggregate performance.

The best albums of all time, as ranked by BestEverAlbums, are listed on the the Overall Chart page.

November 2008 site update

Another site update this month incorporating some great suggestions from our members! You can now receive an email notification if a new comment or rating has been made to your chart! You can also receive a notification if a reply is made to one of your comments on any of the album, band or chart pages. You can manage your site-notification preferences from your profile page (a super suggestion from maxxy.) October 2008 site update

This is the first site update since May as I've been pretty busy in my personal life moving country. Things should settle down during the winter and we'll be back on a monthly release-cycle. There are quite a few changes to the site this month and the bigger/more notable changes are listed below: Ratings have been changed so that they now increment/decrement in units of 5 (out of 100.)
