Most Disappointing album ever.....

Immediately coming to mind was the debut album from a NY band called "The Chrome Cranks", but that's another story - I'd never heard of them, but deliriously thought they might be part of the Manchester scene and didn't read the album cover closely enough. It was '94, and I bought it on vinyl. The band was hands down the worst approximation of music I've ever heard.

But as for bands I knew...Wah Wah by James and Wowee Zowee by Pavement greatly disappointed me (though I've come to like some of Zowee). Also starting with 100% Fun and continuing downward with Blue Sky On Mars, Matthew Sweet left me disappointed for many years, reestablishing himself fully only a few years ago with Kimi Ga Suki.

Grant Lee Buffalo's Copperopolis was also a bit of a letdown as it was a bit too mellow, though I can't say it's a bad album. And Catherine Wheel's Wishville - which turned out to be their swansong - also was the worst of their career.

I haven't heard much that's impressed me this decade. The only really enjoyable albums I've heard are:

Borderline albums (some good tracks, but the albums as a whole didn't make an impression on me):

Chill, Chill i listed "Nicodemus" as the closing track because i was under the impression that disk 2 was just different mixes. Maybe i was wrong but does it really matter?
