Quite a few background improvements have now been made to improve the performance of the site to handle larger traffic volumes. We are now getting a lot more traffic, but serving each page faster than before.

Here's a list of enhancements made in January 2011:

We've added a 'chart widget' to the resources page to allow you to display your chart on the social networks. Think of this as a first release which will be improved over time, so any feedback is very welcome.
Improvements to the search and auto-complete functionality e.g. to correct for missing punctuation when searching.
Recognised lists over ten years old no longer contribute rank points to the overall standings (this only affects a small number of charts which miss out the entire 2000s).
We've updated the year/decade navigation on the year and decade pages.
We've added 'People who like this album/band might also like such and such' to the album and band pages. This algorithm takes into account which other favourites have been added by people who added the particular album/band as a favourite and might help you to discover some other great albums or bands that you are not familiar with.

Lots of other improvements have been made and there's more in the pipeline.
