The more I listen to this, I understand why a lot of people are disappointed by it. It isn't "EDM" or whatever the term is. It's instead a stunning to tribute to the music that they grew up loving and for a lot of people (or maybe it's just me. Actually, probably just me) that's the reason why they (me) love it. The album takes the old and makes it new, like so many great records and it gives sounds that haven't been popular for decades a new opportunity to find new listeners.

Now, this album will never top Discovery for me. Discovery (and specifically "One More Time") means a lot to me, as it reminds me a lot of those first nights going out with my friends on my own in middle school and just having fun. Random Access Memories won't bring back specific memories like Discovery, but I think its lasting effect will be to go back and revisit those records that have had an effect on me. Its truly a record about the music you love growing up and in that way, its perfect and something I have been looking for (unknowingly) for a long time.

I did look it up. I just didn't bother to post about it.

Anyway, listen to the album on that quality. I'm still not a fan, but the production's never been better.

Yea, I mean, it effects the quality, but advertising it in terms of video quality doesn't really make much sense. Also it was a joke.
