Greyish album ever after Seventeen Seconds, which is why I like it less. Still very good, and much much better than the acclaimed but somewhat 'grand guignol' bloodbath of Pornography.

Ooh! I like the sound of that. Everything just sounds so fancy in French.
LMAO. Anyhow, the atmospherics on Faith are incredible. They extend the ideas of the wonderfully inventive & brilliant 17 Seconds even further, removing the songs even further from a pop context and going almost strictly for mood. No band painted with grey better. While I personally prefer the "bloodbath" that is Pornography better, the two are both masterpieces. If only I could find more albums like them. The search goes on.

I still have never listened to an album by the Cure. It's high on my list.
What's a good first Cure album? I tend to prefer pop/accessible if possible. _________________ Here's my 2014 chart

I like how the album art for this and Pornography are a fairly accurate picture of what the album will sound like.

I'm letting Mercury state my case for now on. Mercury's the cat's pajamas! <3

IMHO Seventeen Seconds > Faith > Pornography
That being said, Faith is a bloody great record. If nothing else, I absolutely adore the basslines in The Holy Hour and Other Voices. Both unbeatable.
Track Picks:
The Holy Hour
Other Voices
Primary
