It's a good Neil Young album but not one of my favorites.

Such A Woman is a great song, From Hank to Hendrix is good. Overall a solid album but not incredible.

I know Gowi is a big fan of this one.

I remember being 12 years old and seeing Neil Young perform the song "Harvest Moon" on Saturday Night Live. I was simply blown away by how beautiful it was.

It's pretty, but doesn't feel very substantial to me. I don't think it's his 7th best studio album - it shouldn't be ahead of solid albums like Zuma, Time Fades Away, and Freedom.

Agreed. My personal NY list has Harvest Moon at #14. Even more recent albums like Psychedelic Pill come in higher.

Where does his unsung masterwork The Monsanto Years rank?

It's an excellent album, it does really sound like the guy who used to sing Harvest is now 20 years older and (on this album) somewhat tired maybe. Quite beautiful.

I prefer Ragged Glory - an album that precedes this by only 2 years - to this one. Even though their under different aliases, I still consider all Crazy Horse records to be apart of Neil's. With that said, this is still quite a brilliant piece.

I'm a new NY fan, so I haven't even listened to this one before it became album of the day which made me give it a try.
Harvest Moon and Such A Woman are really wonderful songs, beyond gorgeous.
