Quite liking this all-female band idea:
Vocals - Sandy Denny
Guitar - Marissa Paternoster (Screaming Females) (have you heard this woman play? AMAZING!)
Bass - Gaye Advert (Adverts)
Drums - Palmolive (Slits)
Keyboard/Harp - Joanna Newsom

And, about your 'band', i think having Newsom in a band playing instrumentals would be really cool. Great choice. _________________ ~Hayden

Fair comment, that. I should rename the genre "fuzz folk" to avoid confusion. And add...
Nico - Harmonium |

I think the convention is to just add the prefix "post-"
Post-rock
Post-punk
Post-hardcore
Post-grunge
Post-metal
Post-disco
Though sometimes "neo-" works too.
I'd call this "post-folk" if I didn't already refer to Do Make Say Think as Post-folk-rock _________________ Moderate me pls, I've been a bad girl~ mrow~ |

Alright, well, I'm high, but this totally gave me a great idea, to have bands with members who are actually "audience", an official audience that is part of the band. They wouldn't have any real skills other than fist-pumping, yelling and jumping, but they'd be the frontmen of the band, and people would come to the concerts mainly to see them in the crowd. And then, like, at the show, everyone is the audience is facing this group of official audience members instead of the band, like some massive circle forming around them as people gaze upon them doing nothing in particular.
Then I thought that perhaps I had invented reality television. _________________ Moderate me pls, I've been a bad girl~ mrow~ |
