The Long And Winding Road is much better in Let It Be Naked because Phil Spector ruined this song with his lame arrangement that they didn't want.

The only Beatles album that I have really enjoyed in its entirety on first listen. The singles lifted from the album were among their best.

Sure no big deal, but it makes a huge difference to me. The guitar makes it feel like the song was supposed to be. Phil overproduced it. I now like this song, whereas this song and the ballad of john and yoko were the only skips on beatles records for me.

Wasnt it this one that was their last number one though?

The album has good moments. I don't listen to the song 'Let it Be' often though.

Oh god. Rolling Eyes

Can't we all just come to the conclusion that Abbey Road was there best album? Razz

I thought I already commented on this thread...but I guess I didn't Laughing So, yeah. Let It Be was a pretty good album Smile It's often sighted as a flop for some reason...Not really sure why. Like, ya, it's not their best release, but it's still decent.

The title track used to be my favourite song Smile (when I was 9 or 10 per say).

(No. Razz )

I agree, a flop it certainly was not. I guess it's just because so many people consider it a 'ruined' album because of Spector's production and all.

Abbey Road is a very good album.

Is it their best, though? Well, I can certainly understand that standpoint.
Is it unquestionably their best album? Definetily not.

And on topic, Let it be is a good album with some really good songs.
