Elvis didn't even write his own music. A great entertainer, but not an artist of the same level as the Beatles.

You'd be better off pitting Elvis against another singer who changed the landscape. Maybe Aretha Franklin? It's tough to compare him to bands or artists.

Elvis was only notable for his voice. He didn't write his own songs, from what i've heard he wasn't very good at guitar at all, and he never really moved away from rock and roll.

The Beatles wrote their own music, played their own instruments and changed quite often.

Plus they had way better songs.

I've never understood Elvis. Neutral He was simply the pop icon of his time. He didn't write his own songs, and even if he did, none of them were that great.

He could entertain a crowd, and people seemed to know his hair more than his face...
