Sorry I didn't translate to French but I think I'm rather clear about my review of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. It's value is as nostalgia. Nothing more. _________________ Oh, my hair is getting good in the back!
As I said, I am not a big flower power music fan. I made the recommendations from albums in my collection in response to the forum author's request. I think In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is a good representation of flower power but it certainly won't appear in my top 500. It does appear in Robert Dimery's (General Editor) - 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (2005). It is given an average rating of 4.5 stars (out of 5) by 107 Amazon reviewers. It also spent over a year in the Top Ten and is still in print so it really couldn't have been just a fad. People liked it then and are still buying it today. _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RFNAPLES Bubbling Under The Top 100 Greatest Mus...y RFNAPLES
Maybe some hip hop dudes are using In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida to scratch with but other than that your efforts to canonize this album falls on deaf ears. _________________ Oh, my hair is getting good in the back!
