haha...I would be shocked if the Bruins don't get out of the first round. they are peaking at the perfect time, just like they did last year. If Thomas plays even remotely close to the level he did last year, they have a great shot at another deep run. |

Nashville I can understand... Florida? No chance. They might beat Jersey (unless they get the Rangers in the 1st round) but there's no way Florida is beating Pittsburgh, Philly, Boston or the Rangers in a 7 game series. |

Well I said it was my dream conference finals. Plus, the NHL playoffs are made for upsets. However I can totes see the Panthers beating either Jersey or the Rangers! (And the way that I think the series will end up, they may not have to face any of those teams you said).
I'll make my actual picks when the matchups are set.

| I think it is going to be Pittsburgh coming out of the East. As for the West.... who knows. The only two teams I look at and think they don't have a shot is San Jose and Phoenix. Anybody else could. If the Kings get past Vancouver I think they go to the finals. If not I am going with Nashville. |

Both the Rangers and Bruins going down in the first round? I sure hope not. I'd personally love to see them in the Eastern Conference Finals. I can't see Ottawa winning a round. And I think with Chara constantly on the ice with Ovechkin, the Bruins will get past the Capitals. He's the only defenseman that can totally take Ovechkin out of the game. And if the Bruins play their physical game they've become known for, they can have the Caps looking over their shoulders a bit too much. Still, I would have preferred the Bruins getting Ottawa in the first round.
Personally for my picks...I really have no clue about that west so I won't even try. In the East I'll go with Philly beating the Rangers in the second round, and Boston beating Florida. Of course, Boston will then beat Philly in a great physical 6 or 7 fame series to get back to the Finals. It may be my heart making that pick, but the Bruins are accelerating into the playoffs again so I can definitely see it happening. |

I'm rooting for the Hawks of course but since I don't think they'll make it far my hope goes out to the Preds. Here's my bet for how it'll turn out:

So...... these playoffs have created some of the best hockey in recent memory.
Pittsburgh completely unraveling, and then scoring 10 goals in a game  (That series has to be worst goaltending in the history of hockey. Beer league included).
Phoenix-Chicago overtime saga. And now Torres hit on Hossa.
LA on the verge of kickin' the Stanley Cup favorites straight out in round 1.
Ottawa being those pests that never give up. I think this is my favorite series so far. Just great hockey played by both teams. The exact opposite of Pit/Phil.
Nashville/Detroit. Another wicked series. Although game 4 wasn't that great. The Preds didn't deserve to win that one. Who needs a team when you have Rinne? Hope they come to play in game 5.
Florida. A seemingly dull series made interesting because the Panthers are like the Sens. SOOOOO MUCH HEART!
Suspension count: 8. (7 all of last playoffs).
Yeah  Best sport in the world.
