Paul Weller's new album is great, not as good as his last or even his better solo albums but its 'The Modfather' so it's probably better than 99% of the other albums released so far this year. _________________ We ain't gotta dream no more man |

After a quick listen to it, it didn't blow me away. Not as good as his mid 90s solo work but better than Wake Up The Nation. _________________ Bandcamp ~ Facebook ~ Tumblr ~ Twitter |

I sadly haven't heard that many albums from this year so far, but here's my very short list for best of the year:
1. John Talabot- Fin
2. Chromatics- Kill for Love
3. Sharon Van Etten- Tramp
4. Julia Holter- Ekstasis
5. Sleigh Bells- Reign of Terror
Top Songs
1. Chromatics- "Kill for Love"
2. Usher- "Climax"
3. John Talabot- "Destiny"
I don't know where to put Burial's EP Kindred, as that is one of the best releases of the year as well. I've got a lot of catching up to do, so hopefully there will be some changes to this list, but I think it will be hard to change the top 2 albums and my top song. |

To be honest it had the same impact on me,but it's Weller so I couldn't knock it.Still think it's one of the best albums i've listened to from 2012.But I'd still place at least a dozen other Paul Weller/Jam albums above it.Did you not rate Wake Up The Nation?Thought it was quality myself. _________________ We ain't gotta dream no more man |

i've found 2012 weaker than a weak 2011 so far. i've found only about 15 albums worth listening to and only 3 worth noting in a premature "best of 2012":
01 fun. "some nights"
02 cloud nothings "attack on memory"
03 chairlift "something" _________________ i'm always listening to music |

If anyone's wondering about Nicki Minaj's new album, it's just not as good as her previous effort.
It's just.... less fun. I think she sold out _________________ Spring break... forever
