Aunt May never had black hair; where the heck is MJ; Spidey should've already known Connors who isn't supposed to be British; Spidey was a wrestler BEFORE Ben was shot; what is with The Lizard's appearance; WHY DID THEY REBOOT THE FILMS SIX YEARS AFTER THE THIRD? I miss Tobey MacGuire. |
If you had actually read the comics, you would know that MJ wasn't introduced until years after Gwen Stacy; Aunt May's bloody hair color doesn't matter a lick to the story; Connors was from Florida and Spidey did not know him until AFTER he had cured him of being the Lizard; Spidey wasn't a wrestler at all, he was a stuntman; the Lizard looks the way he should've; the Tobey Maguire/Sam Raimi movies had plenty of deviation from the comics as well (no web slingers, he grows the stuff in his body); and they rebooted the films because the third one was an inexcusable mess.
Does this answer your questions?

Also if Sony pictures hadn't made a new Spiderman movie 5 years after the last, they would lose the movie rights to Spiderman, and it would defect back to Marvel/Disney. After Sam Rami and Toby McGuire didnt dign on to do a 4th movie, they had no choice but to reboot it, or lose their license. Great post btw.

Getting back on topic: I'm the only BEA user who has read all the original Spider-Man comics (1962) from the beginning all the way up the mid-1970's.
So when you say "Couldn't be further from the comics" I'm not thinking of those mediocre "Ultimate Spider-Man" comics... I'm talking about the true, genuine "Amazing Spider-Man" comics.
