July 2010 site update

You may notice quite a few changes this month! As part of July's site update, we now display on each chart a 'collector's summary' to enable you to see at a glance which albums within a chart you do not have in your collection, or haven't listened to yet.

To support this functionality, we now provide lists where you can keep tabs of the albums you've listened to and log the albums that you have in your collection.

If you spot a great album that you haven't listened to, or you don't own, you can now add it to your 'wish list'. You can then come back at your convenience to perhaps add one of these albums to your music collection.

If you spot an album or track that you'd like to purchase, click on any of the 'buy it now' buttons across the site and BestEverAlbums.com will check the prices and availability from the most popular online stores such as eBay, Amazon and iTunes and we'll then provide you with a single page summary where you can choose the best deal (the price information is localised for each country, so hopefully it will be useful to each visitor.)

N.B. Album collections, lists of listened albums and wish lists are all private for each member and are persisted across sessions so that your selections won't be lost when you log out.

This functionality will take time to bed in, so expect some tweaks over the next few weeks as we react to any feedback that we receive.

An ongoing project here at BEA is to make sure that the data on the website is of high quality and can be trusted by our site visitors. To this end, over the past few weeks, we have made amendments to the track listings for over one THOUSAND albums!

Quite a few other changes this month, too numerous to mention.
