Doctors Raise Doubts Over Tamiflu, Pandemic Flu Drug...Didn't they call it a wonder drug not long ago?
Doctors have questioned the effectiveness and safety of the main drug used to treat pandemic flu.
International experts said the drug cuts the duration of symptoms, but they found no clear evidence that it reduced the number of patients needing hospital treatment.
They also claim that side effects from the drug were "possibly under-reported".
Roche Pharmaceuticals denies the allegations. The Department of Health maintains a Tamiflu stockpile to treat around 30 million people, at a cost of around £500m.
But doctors at the Cochrane Collaboration assessed 16,000 pages of clinical trial data and said there were "critical questions about how well the drug works and about its reported safety profile". Read More
Note: Not so long ago when Hospitals around the world were stockpiling Tamiflu, for some made up Pandemic, many raised questions and were categorized as conspiracy theorists.
The worlds experts, doctors and governments continued with a Multi Billion $ campaign to get as many people taking this drug as possible, when questions arose regarding clinical trials or side affects they were pushed aside and buried. Now we are seeing reports from Experts, which if you read back when the so called pandemic was in full swing is mirroring exactly what people were saying back then. (are these people no longer crazy for not believing and refusing to take Tamiflu?)
The Classic 5 minutes that summed this whole situation up was, when an expert was peddling swine flu and the miracle Tamifu on the evening news. It was the time where they were talking about mandatory vaccinations.
The reporter asked him have you been vaccinated?
His reply was somewhat shocking for an expert peddling mandatory vaccinations: No, I don't have swine flu, and am not a sickly person so won't need to be vaccinated.
Looking at it logical the normal seasonal flu kills hundreds of thousands of people each year, Swine flu didn't, so why the scare mongering campaign lead by experts, doctors and governments?
