Yeah, I can see that, and you have a good point, although personally I find it meaningless, and the overall idea of a pope outdated and pointless. But I can understand.

Oh, that's true. Same as the monarchy, they're retrograde concepts, IMO.
Still, if a group of circus clowns had as much power as the church, I'd care a lot about who's elected king clown.
