So this thread will be just for what it says obviously. I will be repeating myself a lot from the last thread, but hey.
The Rules are simple:
1. A Poll is created as a match versing off 2 artists in 1 group.
2. You vote for which artist you prefer
3. A Match will run on average for 3 days unless there aren't enough votes (at least 8 ) in which case will run until the minimum amount of votes is reached.
4. The Artist with the most points wins the match
5. Draws are okay
6. 20 Points for a win, 10 Points for a draw and 0 Points for a loss
7. The 2 teams with the most points in each group at the end will go through to the elimination game.
8. In the case of a draw at the end of all matches: I will be recording exactly how many votes each Artist gets so point difference will decide that one.
I think thats it but as the title suggest please ask any Q's.
1 thing: In regards to Artists that got more than 1 pick in the nomination round do people think it's fair to give them some kind of bonus like 1 extra point or is it better to leave it just as is? I ask because it's quite significant being chosen more than once as a favourite artist. So thoughts on that are appreciated.
1 more thing: I don't think anyone will, but in the case of dummy accounts I think our only option is the honour policy. I mean it's just a game so If you are thinking of doing that it's kinda...well, shit.
EDIT: I have increased the amount of points for wins and draws purely for the sake of impact.

Normally in playoffs you are either in or you're not. Don't matter how you got there. Sure, you'll normally get an extra home game if you made it there first but that's a relatively small advantage compared to getting an extra goal. Also, the last artists were added by people replacing votes that had been cast for bands who already made it. The people who did so may have decided not to if that rule had been in place at the time. I say no bonuses other than maybe Jhereko adding a little "HOORAY FOR X!" at the start of the thread to give other supporters of that team an extra moral boost. |

In the third round. Maybe consider making a rule that you can only vote after 2 other people instead of 1... I mean you remember what happened last time right?
