George Michael

Wow Confused That... really came out of nowhere. Christmas nonetheless. I'm not the biggest fan of his music, but that's hardly the point. It's just a shame to see anyone die that young. This has just been such a tragic year for the music industry...

Bowie... Prince... George Michael... that's pretty much the epitome of LGBT 80's pop, all gone so close to each other.

RIP.

(Also... something about Last Christmas)

Six more days and we will be in another year finally.

God bless you and Michael's family always!!!

Holly

P.S. I wasn't a fan, but if there is any song from him that I don't mind, its "I'm Never Going To Dance Again".

Extremely obscure and unknown, but one of the most upsetting passings for me of 2016 was that of Caroline Crawley of Shelleyan Orphan. Beautiful music, beautiful voice; deserves more recognition. Also Maurice White, mastermind of Earth, Wind and Fire - who doesn't love Earth, Wind and Fire??

Very true. Some might know her better through her works for This Mortal Coil (on O'Hara's "Help Me Lift You Up" and Barrett's "Late Night" notably).

Very sad day today -- King Crimson / Asia / UK / Solo artist -- Bassist John Wetton lost his battle with cancer. His contributions to prog were huge. He joins the list of folks I wish I had got around to see before it was too late.
