without any hesitation Sonic Youth, like i said they have the richest discography in history of rock IMO. 3 decades of exceptional music quality ! |

Very very tough draw. I love Beck. Odelay and Midnite Vultures got me through my teenage years. Beck's grown-up work has also been top notch. My best friend played Guero non-stop for the better part of two years straight until his wife gave me the CD and told me to hide it somewhere. Modern Guilt gets my Danger Mouse stamp of approval. Sea Change will probably still be a definative breakup album 20 years from now.
HOWEVER...I am firmly a member of Team Albarn and everything he touches turns to platinum. Gorillaz. Good, Bad, the Queen. And yes...Blur. So this vote may be sort of cheating, but I have to back my boy.
