Silly me--I was locking in on just the songs "let it be" not the whole albums. With that in mind, I can now easily see the Replacements coming out ahead.

On your charts you really like early R.E.M. and Nirvana, so I'd imagine you'd enjoy them. They started out as a punk band, but by 1984 they're alternative rock with heartfelt songwriting. On the BEA charts, their three most acclaimed albums, Let It Be, Tim, and Pleased To Meet Me, are rightfully all in the top 1000.

Sorry, mate, I was mostly kidding.
I suppose what I meant and tongue in cheek was saying is that if I go ask a random person on the street who they were and asked them to name a song or album from them... they'd probably mistake them for The Pretenders. If I asked them who the Beatles were, they'd most likely know a bit about them and get it right.
But in all honesty, I'm equally ignorant about the so I appreciate The Hutts' comment. Thanks!
