i think that it's a really open tournament: besides NYC, LA and London, there's a lot of good cities: Chicago, Seattle, Bristol, Paris, Montreal, Detroit ...

Sorry if you've discussed this but why is Salford seperate to Manchester? I mean Salford is to Manchester what Brixton is to London, ie it's part of it!

Because Salford is a separate city and has been since 1380....

No it isn't part of Manchester... anymore than Bradford is part of Leeds or Versailles is part of Paris or (to bring it closer to your end of the world) Bath is part of Bristol. It is a separate city. Close to Manchester city yes... but not part of it.
And I thought when we were nominating that this was about cities, not loose conglomerations of all kinds of things.. (with the exception of the belgrade thing that Loveless nominated). If we are looking at a 'yeah the city and the back land and in fact any thing within a 50 mile radius', then you can roll Leeds, Manchester, Salford and Liverpool into one nomination..
