75% of the time I play as the Dungeon though so I have to get them from other towns.

Dungeon is an interesting choise

Is it the "paralyze 'em with the Medusa, sting'em with the Manticore, chop 'em with the Minotaur, flame 'em with the Dragon"-combo?


I'm more of a Tower man myself.
Once you start getting those Naga Queens and Titans you're really hard to beat.

But as any experienced HOMMIII- player knows, the key to success in battle is how you use your spells.

Here are my top ten spells (in Expert __ Magic):

10. Forgetfulness
So you don't have to worry about those pesky shooters

9. Cure
Gets rid of all the nasty curses and such and keeps the good stuff.

8. Shield
There's something about that metallic blazing sound that makes me feel impenetratable when I cast it.

7. Resurrection
Brings the troops back to life. No further comment needed.

6. Meteor shower
My favourite damaging spell. Great area coverage and great damage.

5. Bless
Maximum damage. Brilliant.

4. Haste
The best thing about being faster than your opponents is that you get to act before them.

3.Slow
See above.

2. Berzerk
I once killed about 2000 Naga Queens with almost no armies, using only Expert Slow and Expert Berzerk.
I just stood by and watched them kill eachother.

1. Town portal
Expert Town Portal is almost cheating. With it you can pick up any armies in any Town whenever you want.
And as if that's not enough, you can just ambush any unknowing enemy who thinks he's just gonna waltz in to your empty or undermanned Town.

Mana Vortex is the main reason for the Dungeon Razz

And you have every spell in the same order I would have put them. The only change would be to remove 'Forgetfulness' as I rarely bother using it.

Curse or Implosion. More drawn towards Implosion because I usually have Expert Intelligance, the Mana Vortex and high knowledge. Can easily afford the cost.

What draws you to the Tower? They pick on the Gremlins all the time when you are the Tower Laughing Razz
