No, not really.

More than half their albums are either terrible or just plain average.

Hmm.. if you look at the rankings, ¨The Miracle¨, which I love, is ranked as the second-worst Queen album.. I believe that if you are open-minded and don't care about what's considered good and bad music, you will enjoy every album by them.. but I still need to hear the last ¨good¨ and ¨terrible¨ albums to know what I'm talking about!

The discographys that I have that I would suggest to people are:
The Libertines
The Strokes
The Jam
My Bloody Valentine
A Tribe Called Quest
New Order
Joy Division
At The Drive-In
Arctic Monkeys
The Stones Roses
The Smiths
Primal Scream
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
Blur
The Clash
Jay-Z
Kanye West
Beastie Boys
Jamie T

They are all top notch with the exception of maybe one album per band average.I tend to only download studio albums and delve further into b sides and live tracks if I really like the band. The likes of Sonic Youth and The Cure with huge discographys I tend to download a block at a time of there albums.

Most albums up to 1980's "The Game" are fairly good (roughly half of their albums). From there it's downhill.

I think the 80's albums are great.. I enjoy them more than albums like Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack

Discographies I do own (mostly vinyls or original CDs)

Beatles of course
Floyd (1967-1979 era)
Jefferson Airplane
George Harrison solo
Genesis (1969-1975)
Blur (worth buying all their seven studio albums)

from all the other artists I have only a few albums, favorites, etc. I like to buy original CDs instead of dowloading albums. Buying all the albums uhhm not cheap, so when I'll be a grown up with a job I'll buy all the other albums from all the bands I like Cool

I have thought of that as well... buying all the CDs/vinyl. I have come to the conclusion I want to collect not just cds, but special releases and vinyl. And yes that can get pricey depending on the catalog. So far I have all the 80s vinyl for U2. Then random vinyls. Proud of my original release of my Abbey Road album on vinyl.

Don't grow up. It is one of those irreversible things.

You must be joking. I can understand the other artists in your list, but Van Halen?

Do you remember this?

Thumbnail. Click to enlarge.

Gary Cherone was a third rate Roth or Hagar. Shitty shitty album...

True. But 1 bad album out of 12 is a pretty good batting average if you ask me.
