So explain to me again how leaving a thread on full view for everyone but not allowing you to add to it is censorship? It is no different to your beloved 'Declaration of Independence' - available for you to look at and read should you choose to do so, but not available for you to scribble all over and deface. That is generally the role of an archive - things are preserved for the general populace to view and read but not to add to.

I suggest you look up what an 'archive' is and try to understand how it works before you continue raving about 'censorship' and how archiving is some kind of BEA conspiracy akin to the Nazi death camps.

I suggest you look up the U.S. Constitution. The Twenty-seventh Amendment to the United States Constitution was ratified in 1992.

Well actually it would be more like having the Declaration of Independance, but not being able to talk about it. (Not really, but the analogy is flawed).

I understand what Naples is trying to prove, but it's like applying the laws of physics to a children's program. It can be done, but there is no point. Seriously, this shouldn't even be an issue.

You can talk about the Declaration of Independence or even make amendments to it, just not on the original document itself... analogy stands. Very Happy

I agree though that this is an utter non-issue. All systems have an archive (and if they don't then they should) because it is standard practice and allows for the better management of information. Trying to turn it into some kind of censorship conspiracy is ridiculous to the point of laughable!

I know the whole idea that an internet forum can be compared to the Nazi holocaust.... I mean how mental must you be to think that!!!

You are comparing a internet music bulletin board to genocide, you absolute loon. Laughing

You made that comparison. I was showing that the majority should not always rule.

Only the loons are making that comparison. I was referring to the idea that the majority is always right.

Even if a majority of the Nazi favored annihilation of the Jews and the rest of the world remained silent, it would still be wrong.

Using an analogy of wartime holocaust on a thread about an internet forum archive.... Yup that seems really measured and rational to me!!!

Anxious

It's an archive... a simple archive... nothing more... nothing less... JEEZ!

It is amazing how slowly Kiwi's get things. No wonder they are named after flightless birds. Wink
