What Silverwing said.
I truly cannot get more pleasure and satisfaction and emotional affirmation from any other album in existence.
Therefore, this is the best ever for me.

Death And All His Friends is a rapturous track! 7/4 timing? Coldplay, you shouldn't have. Thank you.
I do have to agree with Jhereko about the album as a whole. Tries out some interesting ideas. Production sounds lovely. But it's patchy and feels restrained from developing a lot of the time. I think 42 shows hints of a really interesting direction the band could go, but damn those lyrics are awful! |

This album allows Coldplay, whether you like them or not, to play in the big league. Very well done album.
This is from my chart:
This marked when Coldplay grew up I think. I really liked how they played with the idea of mashing two songs into one- it was like these mini-songs that are similar to the end of Abbey Road.
Hard to pick a fav track, but I would have to go with strawberry swing. |

Not mediocre, but not sublime either, contains some of their best tracks ever, but has some weak points too. _________________ If you can't give me heaven, Ill raise hell, till it's heaven |

My advice for new musicians: Listen to this album. Do the opposite.
To answer kidamnesiac’s question from a different thread, this is what pretension is, from the cover art onward. |
