I do not allow feedback on my charts right now because I didn't come here to get into crap with people who seem to be bent on trashing what I put a lot of thought and work into. And that's not fair. |

From the February site update
Average rating algorithm
The average rating algorithm has been updated to use the item average instead of the average of all ratings, and a change has also been made to reduce the impact of troll votes on an item's average rating. Previously, outlying votes could disproportionately affect an item's average rating, but now ratings will be excluded if they lie more than three standard deviations from the item average.
These low scores don't affect your average rating, and as for the comments... it doesn't really matter what anyone thinks about your taste in music, so why let it bother you? _________________ http://myradiostream.com/joyradio |

So, we should not moderate the forums, either? It's the internet as well. |

| I forgot to point out earlier, that there is already a mechanism for dealing with abusive comments, and that is the 'report comment' (exclamation) button which allows people to report abusive comments, and these can then be investigated/deleted centrally. This function could be extended so that the moderators could have the ability to do this as well (i.e. have the ability to moderate comments in the rest of the site and not just on the forums). Maybe that's a way of dealing with these kind of chart comments? |

| moderating negativity is unwise and as childish as leaving the negative comment in the first place. I also think it's suspect that two moderators seem to be the only ones with negative comment problems, and wish to have their moderating powers extended. If someone leaves "fuck you," slurs, or some other serious abuse on your wall then users can report it and it's dealt with anyway; I have never seen this happen. As far as negative comments, suck it up! |

I didn't see the the comment on your chart, but the one on an_outlaw's was not unreasonable at all. He literally just said that there were great albums left out and mediocre ones present. No slurs. No death threats. Not even a swear.
If someone wants to comment on my chart saying "Your chart sucks and I hate your guts!" then all the power to ya. I could care less. No need to get your panties in a bunch. _________________ Spring break... forever

And I know that you crave attention, and the easiest way for you to get it is to try your best to be controversial.
