Sometimes I think an album needs to be around about 10 years to really be appreciated and to see what impact it has made. From 2002's Top 10, which has been the most significant release and, in another 10 years, might still be remembered.

A Rush Of Blood To The Head - Coldplay
Turn On The Bright Lights - Interpol
Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots - The Flaming Lips
Songs For The Deaf - Queens Of The Stone Age
Up The Bracket - The Libertines
By The Way - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Sea Change - Beck
( ) - Sigur Rós
You Forgot It In People - Broken Social Scene

Personally, Interpol, Coldplay and QOTSA's releases seem the most important in regards of each band's highlights. Thoughts?

100 years from now, i think the sigur ros album has the best chance at being recognized. Short of that, i think interpol has the strongest sway as a landmark album. (Coldplay's wasn't their best. Beck's wasn't. QOTSA wasn't.) The next best shot at future recognition would be the BSS.

Better than any of the top ten Very Happy

Not that those other albums are bad. Just that Be Not Nobody deserves a perfect 10.

I really appreciate Beck's Sea Change. He lays himself bare on this one. Beck stands a greater chance of being remembered than Coldplay, and this album should age well.

If i were a boy pop artist with a Kaufman-like sense of humor, i'd title my album "Songs for the Death"! Razz
