February 2009 site update

This month, we've added an experimental feature - track-ratings. This allows registered members the ability to rate each track on an album. The ratings will then be aggregated and the top-rated tracks on each album will be highlighted. It will take time for this new functionality to settle-in, so expect it to be refined and tweaked as we go along. The latest track ratings will appear on the home-page (combined with the album, band and chart ratings.)

We've added the ability to 'ignore' member charts on the customise chart page. The rank scores now only take into account the rankings from the recognised/professional lists (request from the forums by captZEEbo and 1234567890.)

You might notice the additional lyrics now appearing in the page header as suggested by JohnnyRocketFingers in this forum post - the additional quotes have been voted by site members in the forums. The quotes are random on each page (except for on the forum page itself.) More quotes will be added next month, so keep the suggestions coming!

The rankings on the forums have been extended a little to take into account some of our senior members. Users with 100 posts or more are now 'famous' and those with 250 posts or more are 'superstars'.

We've fixed an issue on the My Chart page with album suggestions not showing correctly for certain bands (reported by howsitgonnabe in the forums.)

We've changed the site navigation a little by using drop-down menus instead of a secondary horizontal bar. We think this will make some pages easier to find (particularly the year/decade statistics.) We've also moved the Google custom-search into the navigation bar area.

Numerous other smaller changes.
