Wow. I have just spent the past several hours watching the Dark Side of the Rainbow for the first time. I have to say, honestly, that it was a mind-blowing experience. I highly recommend it to those who have not done it, and I would also like to open this up for people who have seen it to talk about it-- what they thought about it, etc. I can say that, for me, it really made a great movie even better, and with that visual piece, I understand and appreciate Dark Side of the Moon even more.

it has to be said that the wizard of oz is one of the films with the most occult significance and has been linked to all kinds of unsavoury practices.. the dark side of the moon album cover gives the game away too, it is obviously heavily influenced by the occult

at the top of the music industry does seem to be an occult elite that are the subject of many a rumour.. the same is said of the film industry.. so it's no wonder we have so many album covers, band names, songs and films with such overt references

i've only seen a snippet of dark side of the rainbow, perhaps i should check it out in its entirety..

I can't believe I'd never heard of this before !

I've watched the different sections this afternoon. It's quite mezmerizing !
Nothing more than coincidence though imo.
That doesn't take away the beauty of this sync operation.

My favourite section is when dorothy arrives in Oz to "Money". Really amazing! The munchkins dancing along to the music...

There's something I have been working on- I am in of the opinion that the following is in perfect sync, lyrically and musically, to the movie blade runner. I am looking for someone (with the resources and the time) to follow on it to see if it is genuine and not some bullshit.

Resources:
Blade Runner (Theatrical Cut)
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden (Tracks 1-3)
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (Tracks 1-4)
Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space (Final Track)

This is how it goes:
1. Play Spirit of Eden at drum beat on the red 'Blade Runner' title
2. Tracks 1-3 will sync up to movie
3. After 3 ends, immediately begin WYWH
4. After WYWH ends, immediately begin DSotM
5. After DSotM ends, a minute of so of silence will follow
6. Play Cop Shoot Cop at the scene where a column obstructs viewer's view of Ford.
7. Resume movie at conclusion of song.

Please feel free to drop your opinion's in, I hope it is as religious for you as it was for me. Enjoy

I've heard of this before, and would like to see it. I mean, listening to one of my fave albums while watching one of my fave movies..........truly will be something.

Have you guys ever listened to Crazy Frog's Crazy Hits while watching Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2?

It really opens your mind.

I don't remember the last time I watched Wizard of Oz without Dark Side playing behind it. What's it about again? :/

(That's a rhetorical question, by the way. I'm perfectly aware of what it's about.)
