It sounds like you have a good head on your shoulder but you don't know enough about music history, music theory, music performance to make any of these statements, you know nothing. I have some advice for you...start enjoying the music more and stop trying to "right' less.

Well, I wouldn't. I like facts and comprehensive views, not hearsay and very limited perspective. Unless this black dude was the Forrest Gump of Harlem, I'd go with the historian.

it is all distorted, of course everything is derivative, that wasn't the original point, some brilliant people, take what is already out there and make something new with it...it you don't understand that, then I can't educate you...you will have to actually become a music major...People are certainly going to believe John Lennon's statement of who influenced him over you...

START ENJOYING THE MUSIC MORE AND TRYING TO BE RIGHT LESS>>

This kind of mentality is why people believe the bible to be true. How come my teacher at school had to get a degree to teach our class? How come they just didn't get someone who was there? You're not undermining me; you're undermining the work of all historians, tbh.

Oh, and didn't you just try to tell me about Bach? You weren't there, you hypocrite.
