Why wasn't the financial collapse listed? Lack of regulation?

How about consumer debt?

You came to this site saying you really enjoyed economic discussion, but this is some really unimaginative economic discussion you're landing on us. :/

Is there anything more specific or topical you'd like to discuss about the economy?

Yeah, why wasn't this top of this list? If you're going to let bankers run your country, it would seem inevitable.

Whoa, whoa, slow down. We aren't LETTING them do shit. That's the world we were born into.

We put them in power. We continue to give them our money. We don't revolt. I'm a peaceful person, but I do have an admiration for the time period when such horrible people would have been publicly hanged for their crimes against humanity.

There are people protesting. The problem is that the US is so absurdly politically divided that a large portion of the population (usually the richest, most powerful portion) wants to keep these people in power.

Hey, you may have been born into that world but that shit didn't start happening in my country until I was nine years old.
