I personally like 'We Used to Wait' a lot better than the first.

The songs weren't bad, but I don't think Arcade Fire is ever gonna beat Funeral.

They would quickly become boring if they kept repeating themselves.
Their sound is evolving, and I'm not expecting them to produce another "Funeral".

Is that because no one will let one of their albums be better than funeral whether it be by critics or fans?

Albums with same problem in my opinion would be .. OK Computer, Thriller, Nevermind, Ten, Blood Sugar Sex Magick, Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, Pet Sounds, The Marshall Mathers LP, In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, Is This It, Stone Roses, The Queen Is Dead, The Velvet Undergound & Nico, Dark Side of The Moon and you get my drift.

None of these albums will be bested by there respected bands and I see funeral as no exception. Its merely an observation, but maybe someone with a bit more knowledge about music can attempt at explaining why? I don't think I have what it takes!

I think it's too early to call.
