BestEverAlbums.com offers a wide variety of RSS feeds to help you keep up to date with this website. We provide RSS feeds containing the latest rankings for the overall chart, year or decade charts and individual member charts.
If you'd like to syndicate any of the charts on BestEverAlbums.com onto other websites, you are welcome to do so, so long as there is an acknowledgment, or a link back to BestEverAlbums.com. All of the feeds on this site are for non-commercial use only under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike License.

Chart feeds
It is possible to use our chart feeds to publish a dynamically changing chart on another website. For example, your external site could subscribe to a RSS feed which will automatically update when a chart changes (the technical details to do this are easily found on Google).
Anatomy of a chart feed
Each chart feed comprises of a single channel element and one or more item elements.
Channel
- Title - the title of the RSS feed.
- Link - a link to the relevant web page on BestEverAlbums.com (e.g. RSS feeds for member charts link to the relevant member chart on BestEverAlbums.com; the overall chart will link to the overall chart page, year/decade charts to the relevant year/decade page etc).
- Description - a longer description of this RSS feed.
- TTL - number of minutes the feed can be cached on the calling website (no need to refresh this feed more times than this as the data is unlikely to change. Data should be cached on the calling website in-between calls).
Following the 'channel' section. there are one or more 'item' sections in every chart feed. Each 'item' within a chart feed represents the albums/ranks within a chart.
Item
- Title - will always be a name of an album and its rank within the chart. The feed will always be in the correct sequence (the top-ranked album will be at the beginning of the feed).
- Link - URL to the relevant album page on BestEverAlbums.com
- Guid - Every time a chart is (re-)published, a unique identifier will be assigned to each entry within the chart.
- Description - this is a HTML formatted representation of an album/rank, but you may choose to ignore this on your own website and render your own version using the Title element.
