Messed around with some rankings. I don't think I'll ever be 100% happy with it, though. 5/19/09 - Made some more order changes, some of which may be controversial. 6/2/09 - realize I need to add Villains by The Verve Pipe, but don't know what to bump to make room. Also possibly good enough to chart are Meds and Sleeping With Ghosts by Placebo, Slanted & Enchanted by Pavement, and Hotwired by Soup Dragons. Need at least a top 60 chart now;) 8/3/09 - Depeche Mode has jumped up again in my esteem, and so - dropping their "A Broken Frame" off the chart along with Pavement's "Brighten The Corners", Ultra and Violator have come onto the chart, and Violator has shot up to #6. I've largely ignored these albums, but have been listening non-stop to Violator for about 10 days now, so I can't ignore it anymore, nor can I ignore the fact I love nearly every song on these two albums. Songs of Faith and Devotion also jumps up a bit to the top 30. 11/23/09 - tinkered with the #9-12 order a little. Couldn't have Mighty Joe Moon out of the top 10. Within the top 10, though, I'm finding the order is arbitrary - can't really say I like one album all that much more or less than the other. Except to say Hopes and Fears has definitely dropped to the bottom of my top 10. 1/24/10 - Took Travis' Invisible Band off the chart and added their album Boy With No Name after closer listening. I'm hooked on BWNN, but decided there are several unnotable songs on IB. Bumped BWNN up to #20, and also bumped up the underrated Laid by James and Happy Days by CW. Decided I like Sleeping With Ghosts better than Black Market Music (Placebo), and took Pablo Honey by Radiohead off the chart in favor of Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd. It's a tough call, though. They all are at this point - when's the chart going to be boosted to 100?;) 3/4/10 Tough to drop any, but have to make room for Disintegration, so I think Dookie's coming off the list, and...well...Hopes and Fears isn't dissed too much to drop to #11, though that's a tough choice. Although it's difficult to ignore the obvious best albums, i became a bit bored reviewing the same albums over and over again. I asked to enable more then one list per person. I usually look at any "new" list to find something new. Fortunately I found some good albums but not much. So I decided to make a list of 50 albums which are maybe not the best but certainly quite good and are all very pleasant to listen to. So ones in a while i think i'll renew the list with other beautiful music and albums. There is a lot of noise out there.
