Tried giving this a relisten. The music I like, the vocals I hate.

There are not enough great things that could be said about this smashingly beautiful work of art.
One of the best ever albums any day of the week.
Is it their best? I'm not sure...
That is not a reflection on this album at all - the others are just as equally stunning. It's tough to determine out the first three Shins albums. Just a shining star.
The Shins hit it out of the park once again.
I came way too late to this party (thanks to this site, in fact). This is just a great album that has everything: great singing, strong lyrics and songwriting. The compositions here stand with the best of all time. If they were sung by a monkey, the songs would still be just beautiful but instead they are served by James Mercer. Eyewateringly great.
