There are times I think I should move this album all the way up to number one for the year. I'm not sure it's the "best" album of the year, but it certainly is the most fun as far as I'm concerned. Fleet-fingered Oscar Peterson tickles the ivories with fantastic melodic elan. What's more, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen puts on an absolute tour de force on the bass. You'll be hard pressed to find a more entertaining jazz album released after jazz's golden age. This one gets a lot of spin with me and that'll never change.
