Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.9/100, a mean average of 65.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 66.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.8.

Culture is about as middle of the road as it can get. The beats, lyrics, and production all fall into the category of okay. I would say the only thing tipping it downward is the length. Culture could lose a few songs and feel stronger.
They really hit the nail on the head with this title: Culture.
It’s not art, it’s culture. It’s not supposed to be intelligent. It’s music: it’s supposed to be enjoyed; it’s supposed to turn your mind off. It’s entertainment.
It’s for the people, it’s for the kids.
If you remember how rock ‘n’ roll changed music, you will appreciate this; if your knowledge of rock doesn’t go further than The Beatles’ arty stuff, you will probably hate this, but you have to understand that you’re judging pop music to jazz or classical standards (skill and complexity), and that’s just conpletely looking at it the wrong way.
Solid and exciting album.

After a re-listen, I am a fan. The beats are pretty good, and so are some of the bars.
Jesus, I hate this album. I don't like the beats. The lyrics are bad. It's way too long. What am I missing? What is it that people like about this album? I want my time listening to this back.
A good amount of my college mates enjoy this type of music. It's entertaining and I feel the only way to enjoy it is to not even bother with listening to the lyrics. Just feel the rhythm and beat and just turn your mind off and it's pretty decent.
Some fun and bumping stuff on here, but I'm feel only 3 of these tracks will make it onto my "LIT" playlist for when im driving

Absolute fire album. Consistent quality throughout, the Travis Scott influenced beats and quirky flow from Quavo and Takeoff works brilliantly. The lyrics are not necessarily philosophically deep but this is an album you can just pop on at a party on in the car and just groove to.
