Another schooldays album for me most mates had this album 'Devil Inside' being my favourite of theirs other standout no.s 'Need You Tonight,New Sensation,Never Tear Us Apart'.
It's okay.
The hits are great, and the weaker tracks aren't bad.
Start to finish this is their strongest work. Lots to love on this one - the table of contents reads like a greatest hits album. Still dig New Sensation.
lightmyway 05/19/2012 00:03Their biggest and best album. Some would say it's aged poorly I think it's just grown up.
Not a big INXS fan but this one had some good tracks, favs; Devil inside, New sensation, and Dylan inspired Mediate.
From my point of view is the best pop rock album of the eighties.
Ozzy0Underrated bands are sometimes the best :)

All these mostly-upbeat songs could've been a radio hit alongside "devil inside", "new sensation", "never tear us apart" and "need you tonight"/"mediate" (save "the loved one"). Hutchence's vocals brings late-70s-rock power with Jim Morrison's swagger, all within INXS's pop framework of restrained guitars, synths and plenty of room for Hutchence to croon.
