Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 11% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.9/100, a mean average of 74.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.9.

My favourite Roger Waters solo album. Lyrically very strong and his vocals are much better than they were on 'Amused to Death'. There is even the odd melody on there (a Waters' rarity).

Grumpier than Grumpy from the 7 dwarfs on a bad hair day.

Poor lyrics for Roger Waters, seems like he lacks conviction like he used to have. Convinced music is Nigel Goodrich's, which is O.K., but not Pink Floyd.

The album is pretty good. I like the sound, reflecting different PF moments from Animals to The Final Cut (and of course passing through the Wall). The political message is strong. The downside for me is the lack of instrumental parts. I guess he had too much to say.

This album sounds so much like Pink Floyd especially The Wall but it surely deserves its place right in 2017. An album every Pink Floyd lover who isn't too biased to Gilmour should hear

Actually pretty good. Was surprised, didn't think he had it anymore. It's not Pink Floyd, not his best solo album, but it's one of the better albums of 2017 for sure.

The songs are all pretty good, but the album as a whole seems a little lacking in variety. And oh my god, find a drummer that knows more than one beat
