Possibly the greatest live record ever recorded, it captures the King of Soul performing his best songs of that era while exploding with a passion the studio versions never had.
My God... what energy. This album vibrates and sweats when you hold it in your hands. Any aspiring artist needs to listen to this to understand what a live performance sounds like. Simply the best. Oh to be at the Apollo that night...
Good stuff. Will have to listen to it some more to get a concrete opinion on it.
The is, quite possibly, the best live performance ever captured on an album. No matter what your music tastes are, this album a is must-listen.
This is a must listen. I don't care what type of music you like, you just have to listen to this album.
I'm fairly sure I could listen to this album ten times in a row without tiring of it. #1 because it is only a 1/2 hr long. #2 because it has to be the most white hot musical synergy in a live setting you could possibly imagine. You NEED to hear this album.
