An enjoyable rock and roll album, nothing new, nothing original.

I think that at this time in his career Bowie just needed to get another record out. After the phenomenal achievement that was/is Ziggy Stardust he knew that he was surfing a big wave. All big waves have to flatten out sometime and, he was going to remain on top of it. A very smart move by him. He choose material he didn't write so there could be no comparisons on that level and he choose an album of covers. He took his time, worked on new material and waited. The record itself doesn't even come close to his best early work but it's not bad. There are no stand out cuts in my opinion, it's a transitional record. Great album cover though.

Really a filler album by Bowie it has the classic SORROW, not that it's bad. I hated Let's Spend The Night Together cover on Alladin Sane. Was reluctant to even listen to this but it's surprisingly pretty good. Cool album cover is famous with model Twiggy

Brilliant! Much better than Aladdin Sane. Many of these covers are much better than the originals.

Bowie's covers of his 60's favourites, most people will have heard Sorrow, but its full of excellent covers of some really great tracks from the 60's, Pink Floyds See Emmily Play, The Who's Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere, & I Can't Explain, & IMO the best Track, Where Have All The Good Times Gone, - The Kinks
