Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 5% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.3/100, a mean average of 75.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.7.

Very consistent, not as heavy as some of their earlier work, but contains some great stuff. My highlights are You've Seen The Butcher, Beauty School (a more mellow Deftones song) and Rocket Skates (a classic heavy Deftones song).
Although often considered the little brother of KNY, it is very much an album of its own and stands equal in height. To me it is classic Deftones in that they manage to successfully blend a romantic atmosphere with heavy grooves, and man is it something good. This is a more mature side of Deftones. The hooks are more subtle and there is less reliance on grinding riffs and dark atmosphere, though there is still plenty of both to be found. This can make it seem boring to start with but listening closely you will hear the album is still very much inspired.
Each song plays its part, and while the mood slows a bit after Rocket Skates it remains consistent in its quality. The band has years of chemistry building and here it shows. Fantastic metal album and fantastic album in general. Best listened to loud.
Standout tracks: Beauty School, Prince, Risk.
Love their old stuff, new stuff, and everything in between. However, I can't seem to get into Diamond Eyes. Minus Sextape, the songs don't have the same energy as the rest of Deftones' material. Feels kind of uninspired to me. But, to each their own.
Not that great of production... could be louder.
doesnt end as strong as it starts or goes in the middle but still an amazing album, arguably their best after WP
as much as i hate to call it a comeback album, thats exactly what it is. Its a very er... "pretty" album. lots of atmosphere but it was easy to get bored with.
My favorite late night drive album.
From start to finish a fantastic piece
