I believe I might say this is my favorite Hendrix.
This album is amazing! I have no idea why "Are You Experienced?" is more highly regarded, this blows it out of the water.
The flow of the album could be improved, but amazing nonetheless.
A colossal achievement for the progression of psychedelic/hard rock sound, a true masterpiece summed up perfectly by "1983".

Jimi Hendrix's Magnum opus. Highlights include: All Along the Watchtower, Come On (Let the Good Times Roll, Voodoo Chile, and 1983 (A Mermaid I Should Turn to Be)
He's the greatest guitarist of all time for good reason.
Favorite Track--All Along The Watchtower
Words cannot describe how amazing this album truly is. To say Hendrix was a genius is an understatement and it is on full display throughout. Even after all these years, Ladyland still sounds awesome. Timeless.
I think the reason that it took me a long time to "get" this record was the way I had always thought of Hendrix. To me he was a genius for fitting stunning guitar work into pop tunes. Electric Ladyland proved that he was so much more. Over the course of an hour and fifteen minutes he puts on a clinic showing what he's capable of and leaving little doubt about it his supremacy as a guitarist. He took the time to show Bob Dylan, one of my favorites, how his song was meant to be played. In the process he gave notice that when covering Bob Dylan there were options beyond 12 string guitars and vocal harmonies.
