camshWonderful concept and music to support it's dark visions. The three track run of Dogs/Pigs/Sheep is perhaps the best I've ever heard.

serpicoInspired by the book Animal Farm by George Orwell, has a more acoustic sound and passages full of virtuosity of David Gilmour. A great album, perhaps even better than the overrated The Wall
19loveless91 01/12/2013 23:59I don't really like when artists get "in your face" with their concept and metaphors, as Pink Floyd (well, Waters) did here with Animals. On the other hand, this might even be my favourite Pink Floyd album lyrically. Many memorable lines throughout.
Also, Dogs is probably Gilmour's finest hour.
ok, so Floyd again but the 3rd in the sequence of 4 classic albums released in the 70s. Dogs and Sheep are epic. Love Gilmour's guitar work on this album and Waters biting lyrics.

sageamagoo 11/02/2012 12:19My absolute favourite Pink Floyd album. Dogs and Pigs are both fantastic epics. Sheep is great too, but is lacking something.
Any prog fan should give it a good listen. I love how it meanders around, it really sets a mood and I listen to it all the time.
DefagoGreat album, love the concept. There's something - don't know what - that stops me from giving it a 10/10. Great solos, great harmonies, great atmosphere.
