The 4th of 6 albums Elliott Smith would record before he died sounds similar to the rest: melodic, slightly depressing Beatles-esque and always a great listen.
The first comment absolutely nails it. This album takes time but is worth patience
stunning
Probably his most commercial album. Great songwriting combined with a more expansive production than his earlier works makes this an essential listen for anyone interested in an artist that was lyrically on a par with Nick Drake. Definitely a grower!
