Very fun album that reeks of Dinosaur Jr. and late 80s-early 90s alternative rock figures like Sonic Youth as well. I enjoyed it, had a good arch to it.
This is so Clinton Era, love that summer 90s sound
Wow! How come these guys didn't hit it big in 2011? I mean, it was critically acclaimed, for sure, but not in the same league with albums which I really liked but, to me at least, they were generally overrated (Helplessness Blues for example). Anyway, a fantastic debut album.
Superb album! Rubber is absolutely fabulous.

A great album, vintage sound taking me back to 80's Sonic Youth.
i can listen to this in any mood
I really like this. I chose it from someone's chart on here and it is excellent. I am sure I will listen to it again and again.
Sounds familiar from the get go, you can hear Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, Pavement, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, My Bloody Valentine amongst others but it's so long since anyone did this well that it stands out as one of the best of the year. Yes it's derivative but it's done with so much passion and sincerity with a great ear for a melody that it avoids becoming pastiche. This is a genuine contender for my top 100.
Best Tracks: Shook down, Get away.
