Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. The three songs belong to the canon of light pop music forever. With those I can easily give 80

I received this album as part of an extended family blind Christmas gift exchange... when I was seven... not the best gift to land in the hands of a seven year old. Nevertheless, I had a cheap record player I threw the album on... and at the tender age of seven, instantly fell in love with Karen's voice.
Superstar was my favorite song. Today, nearly a half century later, I'm still in love with Karen's voice and I believe Rainy Days and Mondays is the best Carpenters song ever and a solid 100.
The criticism for them seems arbitrary. Their arrangements are incredible. It's 10 steps beyond feel-good music

Filled with some of the Carpenters greatest songs - "Rainy Days and Mondays", "For All We Know", "Superstar", "Sometimes"...
