Neil Young and Crazy Horse are to my mind the only band in the world who make better live albums than studio albums and this is their best live album. The video of this album is well worth checking out if you haven't seen it. Sorry for using the word album so many times but if you don't like the word album you should probably avoid a site called best ever albums ;)

On rust never sleeps, new material presented live here, neil shows off both acoustic and electric sides, both equally engaging. Neil's a simple poet, which he shows off on "thrasher" and "hey hey my my". "ride my llama" displays some quirky humor from neil. My biggest criticism is that the album's too short.

If we were allowed to do a best songs of all time chart, "Powderfinger" would be in my Top 10.

Yeh, he carved out on a desk before he commited suicide "Its better to burn out than to fade away" this is maybe why that line is soo popular, but he definately knew about Neil and this album

Kurt definitley knew about Neil and this record. He quoted one of the songs (out of the blue) on his suicide note.

So I hadn't imagined it. I wonder if Kurt himself knew anything about this. Or any of the big ones of that whole Grunge movement were influenced by the album. It would be interesting if people were to think about things like this, just so we can see who deserved what title in the music world
