for me, this might be the best album of Depeche Mode, I know there are others who are legendary, but this I think is the perfect definition for the group

All my goth friends point to this one as the GOAT. Personally, I prefer Violator and Music for the Masses. But there some gems on this one too.
lightmyway 05/08/2012 07:46Good album, very dark and fascinating. Much more consistent than their earlier work with a lot of solid songs.
Arguably DM's best album alongside Violator, Music for the Masses and Some Great Reward. DM always managed to make their depraved perversions sound like pleasant pop and this album is no exception. Stripped and Black Celebration are DM classics. Here Is the House and But Not Tonight are underrated.
Depeche's perv pop got ratcheted up a few more notches on this, another outstanding album and New Dress is absolutely brilliant.
