Some Greatness.

Great album in my opinion. Didn't quite understand why it was so hated. Under Cover Of Darkness stands as one of The Strokes' greatest tracks ever, Life Is Simple In The Moonlight was great way to end the album. Even though the band is experimenting lots of things in here, this still ended as a pretty solid record.
DefagoThe first two tracks made me think this would be a great album. Both Machu Picchu and Under Cover of Darkness are great tracks, classic Strokes but with something else. However, everything after was mediocre at best. At least the tracks went well with each other. Taken For A Fool was acceptable. Life Is Simpler in the Moonlight is a good closer. Not much else to see.
Gets too much hate in general. Solid release, especially considering there seems to be an underlying tension in the band. Obviously not on par with This Is It, but good nonetheless
This was one jarring release. First listen annoyed me to death "Under Cover Of Darkness" aside. Then listening again it got a little better but I really gotta say, they burnt their fuel fast on this one. While not particularly awful, it could have been their comeback. Oh, well. At least they got a 5th one on the way.
